Dr Ffion Davies is an Emergency Physician at the University Hospitals of Leicester. Her interests include paediatric emergency medicine, advanced nurse practitioners in ED, and the interface with primary care. Her career has been focussed on raising standards of care for children in emergency departments and to that end, she has been involved with creating training programmes for doctors in EM and paediatrics, creation of the eLearning website www.spottingthesickchild.com, authoring a textbook Emergency Care of Minor Trauma in Children, and assists Royal Colleges and government bodies for improvement projects relating to Paediatric Emergency Medicine.

 As well as NHS work, she works with charities The Children’s Air Ambulance, The Joe Humphries Memorial Trust, and with Leicester Tigers rugby. She loves animals, the countryside and music. She plays the violin in a Symphony Orchestra and an American Country/Rock band, and goes to heavy metal gigs.
